Sibylla

Sibylla are middle- sized mantids, which act delicate through their physique. Because of this, they are optimally fit to their environment in branches and on bole. They are specialized to flying insects as prey, but they also overwhelm crickets and cockroaches.

The aggressiveness is very low, so they are suitable to be kept in groups. An enough huge terrarium is assumed to avoid stress, as well as enough food.

At present, at least 6 species are described, e.g. Sybilla dives (GIGLIO-TOS, 1915), S. dolosa (ROY, 1975) and S. pretiosa (STÅL, 1856).

Typical look of the nymphs:

  • L2: black/ white, no mimicry
  • L3: like bigger nymphs
